About the Item

Stilnovo style. Atomic Era glass flush mount, Italy, 1950s. Composed of a thin curved glass difuser with a hand-painted pattern and a laminated finish to preserve the painting. Gold chrome metal and brass structure. This type of items became very popular in the 50s and 60s due to the emergence of the Atomic Era, where the lamps and objects where produced in the shape of atoms and explosions, and was the beginning of the Space Age and Brutalist styles. Very much in the style of the italian lighting creations of Stilnovo and Arredoluce during the 50s and 60s. For 2 E27 bulbs (compatible with E26 bulbs). Electrical installation reviewed and fully operational, with new wiring and original brass lampholders. LED compatible. Slight wear on the metal parts, with a very nice patina. Little crack on the glass along the hole, not visible with the brass trim. Note: We always try to the fullest to respect as much as possible all the original elements of each piece (wiring, lampshade, finishes...) so as not to alter the original aesthetics and so that they can continue to have another life with their intact soul. That is why sometimes certain elements can present wear and tear, but they are part of the life of each piece, always providing a very pleasant patina.
