Another colorful and stylish light fixture from the early 1900's.
This rare and highly stylish lantern was made in early 1900s Amsterdam and the colors of the fire painted opaline glass combined with the marvellous patina of the octagonal brass frame is a joy to behold, both on and off. The Dutch Arts and Crafts interiors 'needed' this type of colorful home accessories, because most furniture was made of dark wood or stained oak. This particular hand-crafted pendant is extra stylish, because of the octagonal cone shape design and the vibrant colors of the striking pattern in the glass panels. This fine and stylish fixture comes with the original chain and brass canopy for easy mounting. This handcrafted work of lighting art is a joy to come home to and in the evenings the warm light creates an atmosphere that is second to none and its colors really make the space breath the Arts and Crafts atmosphere of years gone by.
