About the Item

French brass square hanging hall lantern with vented circular dome, upper molded and beaded edge shell border, paneled hinged glass doors, lower molded and beaded edge shell border, and terminating on circular inverted chased floral dome with centered decorative ring. Early 19th Century. Lantern was originally candle powered and has been electrified with a three light cluster. Measure: Lantern is 15 square at top and 12 square at bottom.
