About the Item
A Japanese metal ship's navigation stern light from the mid 20th century, made by Nippon Sento Co, ltd, with oxidized patina. Created in Japan during the mid 20th century, this stern light showcases a partially cylindrical shape topped by a hoisting handle. Showcasing two plates at the top and the bottom, the light boasts a nicely weathered patina revealing its age and use. The back is flat and conceals a petite door through which the kerosene burner could be accessed. Highly decorative, this Japanese Nippon Sento Co ship's stern light circa 1950 will make for a wonderful addition to any home!
