Pair of Scandinavian Modern Teak Glass Swing Wall Lights After Uno Östen Kr
By Östen Kristiansson, Uno Kristiansson, Luxus of Sweden
Located in Topeka, KS
Fabulous pair of Scandinavian Modern teak and glass swing arm wall lights with a rattan reed trimmed shade. Styled after Uno and Östen Kristiansson for Luxus but this pair are marked made in Yugoslavia on their wood bracket. They are in wonderful vintage condition. The glass globes have no chips, cracks or chiggers but one does have an original made in Sweden sticker. The teak arms are in great condition with their original finish. The cords and switches are good; however, one is a bit yellowed from their age. They both have new Euro ceramic sockets. We have painted the interior of the pair of reed trimmed shades as they were quite stained. Please see photos. Circa 1960s. What a pair of fabulous wall lamps! They are Scandinavian Modern in design and are in the style of brothers Uno and Östen Kristiansson for Luxus. However, they are marked made in Yugoslavia on their wood bracket and with one Made in Sweden sicker on one of the glass globes. The pair are comprised of a teak wall mount and teak swing arm with a white power cord which runs through the bracket into the cased blown glass globes to a single socket. There is an in-line switch to easily turn the lights on and off. Plus, they each have a small reed lampshade...
