About the Item
A single very singular and minimalist Mid-Century-Modern, Modernist, orientable bended wall arm, in the style of the iconic "Tuyau" model by Serge Mouille, by René-Jean Caillette, produced by Parscot, France, 1950.
This applique is made to receive both european and US bulb standards without any adaptors neither rewiring. It also allows to use both spotlights or smaller bulbs (than hidden inside the tubular shade), as shown on the pictures here.
This arm/applique is mounted on a circular black lacquered wall base, a long bended arm, and a beautiful orientable stainless steel tube shade allowing a directional lighting with a spot bulb or a subtle atmosphere lighting.
The cylindrical shade is orientable 360° on its axe, and "only" 90° up and down... This arm is meant to be placed on a wall to enlight up or down, with directional lighting areas to create a warm indirect athmosphere, or to enlight a furniture, a sculpture, a vase or a wall decoration like a painting or other wall mounted pieces. This arm-applique could also be placed on a ceiling, to enlight up or on sides especially. And it could even be placed on an horizontal surface -if possible in a singular space- to enlight down or on sides...
This piece is coming from a set of 6 other pieces by the same manufacture : Parscot. 4 identical white lacquered pieces and 1 extra pair of 2 identical black lacquered pieces. So 3 sets of 2 wall arms allowing, potentially, to create a beautiful graphic installation.
This listing is for 1 single piece.
This arm-applique are in great condition, with minor signs of age on all surfaces. The bulb socket is international, allowing any kind of bulbs but especially : directional spotlights (enlighting a wider area) or smaller round bulbs inside the shade.
