About the Item
1950s Yellow Painted Metal
Brass Wall Lamp Attributed to Stilnovo.
Executed in bright yellow painted perforated metal shade with brass arm and backplate. The shade rotates freely left/right and up/down on a ball joint. A sculptural and refined design characteristic of midcentury Italian design at its highest level. Unmarked.
Ref. Literature: "Stilnovo: Apparecchi per L'illminazione" pub. Luminaires-Moderniste, related shade shown on chandelier model p.32. Unmarked.
Accommodates 1x 60W max equivalent LED US candelabra (e12) bulb (LED only, not included). Professionally rewired for US electrical with new period style backplate added for mounting over a standard American j-box. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee. Contact us to facilitate.
Some age appropriate patina, dings, scuffs and wear as largely shown and noted only for accuracy.
