This striking wall lamp from the 1960s is a playful and sculptural design by Hans-Agne Jakobsson, the celebrated Swedish lighting designer known for his innovative and atmospheric creations. Crafted in metal with a bold blue lacquered finish, the lamp is shaped like a top hat, with a cylindrical shade and wide circular brim. A black band detail accentuates the hat-like silhouette, adding a whimsical yet sophisticated touch. Mounted on a wall bracket in matching blue, the fixture emits a warm, downward light, making it both a functional and decorative piece. Hans-Agne Jakobsson
Hans-Agne Jakobsson was a Swedish interior and furniture designer, who ran his own company from 1951. Jakobsson was especially famous for his lighting designs, which often had a softly glowing light and organic shape. His designs were inspired by great, modern Scandinavian designers such as the Finnish icon Alvar Aalto and Danish lighting master Poul Henningsen.
