About the Item

A beautiful and highly decorative pair of Mid-Century-Modern orientable wall sconces, in the style of an iconic model by Pierre Guariche, attributed to Jacques Biny, produced by Luminalite, France, 1950. These appliques are mounted on a circular black lacquered wall base, a short horizontal arm, and a beautiful orientable free-form shade with circular perforated holes completing the directional lighting by a beautiful graphic effect. This pair is coming from a set of 4 identical (black lacquered) pieces and 1 extra wall arm with a yellow lacquered shade. 2 sets of 2 black appliques and 1 yellow arm are now available on 1stDibs exclusively. This listing is for 1 pair. Dimensions of 1 piece in "straight" position : H 23 x W 32 x D 11.5 cm Single shade : L 23 x D 11.5 cm W up to 37 cm according to shade angle These appliques are in great condition, with minor signs of age on all surfaces. The bulb sockets are french, but we will include 2 US adaptors allowing to use any international/US bulbs.
