About the Item

A minimalist pair (from a set of 4 white + 2 black) of Mid-Century-Modern, Modernist, orientable wall arms, in the style of the iconic "Tuyau" model by Serge Mouille, by René-Jean Caillette, produced by Parscot, France, 1950. Each piece is signed with an original Parscot sticker inside the tube shade. These appliques are mounted on a circular black lacquered wall base, a long horizontal arm, and a beautiful orientable tube shade allowing a directional lighting with a spot bulb (not shown on the actual pictures) or smaller bulbs inside the tubular shades for a subtle atmosphere lighting (as shown on the pictures here). Each cylindrical shade is orientable 360° on its axe, and "only" 90° up and down... These arms are meant to be placed on a wall to enlight up or down, with directional lighting areas to create a warm indirect athmosphere, or to enlight a furniture, a sculpture, a vase or a wall decoration like a painting or other wall mounted pieces. These arm-appliques could also be placed on a ceiling, to enlight up or on sides but not down. And they could even be placed on an horizontal surface to enlight down or on sides... This pair is coming from a set of 4 identical white lacquered pieces and 1 extra pair of 2 identical black lacquered pieces. So 3 sets of 2 wall arms allowing, potentially, to create a beautiful graphic installation. This listing is for 1 pair. These appliques are in great condition, with minor signs of age on all surfaces. The bulb sockets are international, allowing any kind of bulbs but especially : directional spotlights (enlighting a wider area) or smaller round bulbs inside the shade.
