About the Item
A set of 2 sconces, designed by Sigvard Bernadotte for the IFÖ Sweden in the middle of the 1960’s.
These being a beautiful, Bauhaus-inspired example of Swedish mid-century design featuring opaline glass
shades that screw on to the grooved and stark blue glazed ceramic bases.
They can be mounted in either direction, downwards or upwards.
In never used condition!
A very similar double-lighted version is also available in my listings.
Wiring suitable worldwide (universal, incl. the US) 110-220 V.
E14 screw fittings.

Sigvard Bernadotte
Sigvard Bernadotte was a Swedish prince and industrial designer. He was the second son of King Gustav VI Adolf of Sweden and his first wife, Princess Margaret of Connaught, a granddaughter of Britain's Queen Victoria. Bernadotte was born a Swedish prince and was originally titled Duke of Uppland, but was excluded from the line of succession and lost his Swedish titles in 1934 when he married a commoner.
