ABO MAG - red pair of super cute 1960s magnetic ball wall lamps produced by ABO Randers, both in very good vintage condition. Originally designed by Hans Jørgen Berthel (the owner of ABO Randers) in the early 1960s, and later reproduced by several Danish and Italian producers with subtle changes to the design, among them Frandsen Lighting and E.S.Horn. ABO MAG was available in a variety of different colors and hung in many homes in Denmark throughout the 1960, 1970s and 1980s. ABO Randers sold over 2 million H. 63 wall lamps in Denmark alone (with a population of 5 million at that time) - that is true democratic design! The genius of this light is the magnet which holds the lamp in place and allows you to easily adjust and point the light where you need it - for excellent reading light - over the bed or your favorite chair. It could also be used as a table lamp, as you will find described elsewhere, but the original idea, is to mount it on the wall using the screw hole in the middle of the magnet. Here is a beautiful bright red pair and both lights are in very good vintage condition with very few signs of normal usage (markings from the magnetic function). Labels intact. Please see the photos! All original, but rewired with 1,7 m (5' 6.9") white plastic cord and fitted with the original on/off switch placed at convenient height at the cord and Euro style two-pin plug- which can be fitted with a plug adapter, or is easily changed to your specific plug. Tested and fully functional. Cleaned, labeled and packed in protective plastic cover. Light source: Two bulbs (one for each lamp), Edison screw-fittings (E14/E12 with adapter). Max 40 Watt each.
