This impressive French Art Deco wall sconce was crafted by the renowned André Delatte in the 1920s, originating from Jarville near Nancy, France. Featuring a large blown double glass shade signed “ADelatte Nancy,” it hangs elegantly from a stunning wrought-iron fixture adorned with a delicate ivy pattern.

André Delatte (1887–1953) was a pioneering French glass artist and chemist, who began his career decorating glass pieces for the Muller Brothers before founding his own glassworks in Nancy in 1919. Known for his technical skill and artistic vision, Delatte became a leading figure in the Art Deco movement, producing exquisite glasswork admired for its craftsmanship and style. His glassworks employed top artisans, many from the prestigious Daum factory, and his company, Verreries de l’Est, was celebrated throughout the 1920s and early 1930s.
