About the Item
An antique, circa 1915 French Black Forest/Arts and Crafts electrified double candle wall sconce with hand carved walnut back plate, hand turned walnut wooden stems and hand-painted faience bobeches. All original with wooden drip candle holders and faience bobeches on turned wooden supports.
The Black Forest design lends itself beautifully to a French farmhouse style of decoration as well as the now popular “Medieval” design style. In all of my travels, I haven’t seen a sconce that has these design elements. It is quite unusual and unique. Anyway you use it, it makes a beautiful addition to well appointed home.
