About the Item
Piero Manara is an Italian interior architect and designer born in Milan in 1968. He grew up between Italy and France and studied Interior Architecture at the École Camondo in Paris. After graduating in 1992, he moved to New York, where he worked with Robert Couturier from 1993 to 1999. He later founded his own design studios, including “Beautiful Modern World” and “Piero Manara + Associates.” Manara is known for his poetic and thoughtful approach to space and design. His work often explores the relationship between the human body and architecture, influenced by both designers and choreographers. Around 2010, he returned to Europe to focus on interior architecture and collaborate with high-end design and metalwork studios. His philosophy embraces transformation—turning raw materials into elegant, expressive pieces that balance function and emotion.
