Art Deco sconce clear, white and pink Murano Glass manufactured in the Zanfirico Technique in the island of Murano, Italy, circa 1930-40.
Zanfirico is a technique from the island of Murano, Italy. Zanfirico glass consists of fine filigree canes which have been stretched and twisted to form ribbons and patterns. This technique dates to the 16th century.
The brass hardware has a dark brown patina but we can polish t if desired by the purchaser.
This sconce is very similar to other works by Carlo Scarpa for Venini.
