Exceptional wall lamp designed by Felipe Delfinger for Feders and produced in Cuernavaca, Mexico. Crafted from recycled handblown glass, this piece represents a rare and important example of the designer’s work, combining sculptural design with a strong tradition of artisanal craftsmanship.
The lamp masterfully merges the natural skill of Cuernavaca’s glassblowers with a vibrant color palette deeply rooted in Mexican culture and landscape. The central sun, rendered in molded relief glass in warm amber-orange tones, features a serene, almost ritualistic face. From it radiate stylized glass rays of unconventional organic forms, alternating shades of amber, honey, and deep blue, creating a dynamic interplay of light and color.
The entire composition is mounted on a cylindrical pierced metal structure that acts as a light diffuser, enhancing the chromatic intensity of the glass when illuminated. With its strong sculptural presence, this lamp aligns with the Brutalist aesthetic of the mid-20th century, standing out for both its bold design and exceptional craftsmanship.
