About the Item

Unique, illuminated, stained glass sconce commissioned by Carolyn Price for the Hillside Residence designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, in 1954. When Carolyn Price sold the Hillside residence in the early 2000s, the sconce was removed and exhibited in a private museum for over two decades. This is the only example of this form known to exist, and it is completely fresh to the market, having never before been offered for sale. It was originally intended to be corner-mounted. A wood support has been fabricated to allow the fixture to mount directly to a flat surface. The mount elevates the lamp to a height of 71 inches.
