Unusual French Art Deco Wall Sconces in Nickel

I bought this pair of sconces in Lyon from one of my dealer buddies. I almost fainted when I saw them, of course -- it's THAT rare to see something of this calibre and scope/proportion. We're looking at 25 INCHES of wall sconce here, folks! Not to mention all that grace...
They're solid brass and I've had them plated in my favorite finish, satin or brushed nickel, so appropriate to the Art Deco esthetic. My world-famous patina allows them to skirt the "born yesterday" look.
The dealer who sold them to me said that he bought a matching chandelier (from the same house) which was signed Lorrain. That makes sense to me, as the design work on these extraordinarily rarely shaped gourd-like shades is so typical of Lorrain's designs, the highly stylized floral motifs. The Lorrain company was a subsidiary of Daum and headed by none other than Pierre d'Avesn, whose designs are legendary and rival those of Lalique, for whom he worked early on in his career. Of course this is all just speculation, but don't we just thrive on speculation?
In any case, attributable to d'Avesn or not, they're decorative as can be, and so unique that I'm prepared to crawl out on a limb and say that you'll never see another pair even remotely similar!!
