About the Item

"Feltre" Sconce for Greco, glass and brass, Italy, 1960, Set of two + Angelo Lelii "12697" Ceiling Lamp for Arredoluce, brass, perspex and glass, Italy, 1958 The "Feltre" wall lamps by Greco exemplifies the refined Italian midcentury modern design. The original patinated brass structure, combined with pressed glass diffusers, achieves a harmonious balance of materiality and form. The brass elements, with their vintage patina, convey a sense of strength. Recalling the iconic Ignazio Gardella's "LP7" sconces for Azucena, these sconces are versatile, allowing the shades to be mounted facing upward or downward, adapting seamlessly to various interior arrangements. The glass diffusers feature an intricate design with vertical folds on the upper half and horizontal folds on the lower half. This detail evokes the delicate texture of Japanese rice paper lanterns, imbuing the lamps with a sense of lightness and cultural resonance. The spherical glass elements are supported by brass rods adorned with cylindrical studs, creating a jewel-like geometry. Dimensions: Height: 13 in (33 cm) Width: 10.63 in (27 cm) Depth: 12.6 in (32 cm) Angelo Lelii "12697" Ceiling Lamp for Arredoluce, brass, perspex and glass, Italy, 1958 A luminous testament to Italian modernism, the Angelo Lelli “12697” ceiling lamp for Arredoluce (Italy, 1958) embodies a poetic balance of form and function. Suspended like an architectural halo, its opaline glass diffuser is embraced by a finely spaced rhythm of brass rods, crowned by a gently glowing yellow perspex disc that elevates the design’s sculptural presence. Lelli’s mastery lies in the marriage of materials — warm brass, soft blown glass, and colored perspex — echoing the refined lighting experiments of Gino Sarfatti and the harmonious compositions of Gio Ponti’s Arredoluce masterpieces. This piece sits naturally alongside mid-century icons by Gaetano Sciolari and Franco Albini, where industrial ingenuity and artistic intent converge. More than a lamp, the "12697" is a work of ambient architecture — light as atmosphere, material as narrative — perfect for interiors that celebrate the thoughtful lineage of Italian design.
