About the Item

This fine and impressive pair of George III style two light sconces are truly exceptional. The candle arms are fitted with Van Dyke style crystal nozzles and bobeches. The almond shaped swag chain is suspended from S form “snake scrolls” terminating in pear shaped drops. The central spire is surmounted by a Van Dyke style canopy, and topped by an urn form finial. The back plates and mounts are silvered bronze. The sconces have never been electrified, but can be wired at no additional cost.
