About the Item
A pair of sconces made in Italy during the mid 20th century but in the Rococo style.
The hand-carved lime wood structure with foliate motifs is gilded with the ancient gold leaf technique.
serrated leaves reminiscent of palm leaves that transform into arabesques with great decorative power.
Recently subjected to the replacement of the electrical system by a professional, these eighteenth-century style wall lamps are functional and each have 2 light points thanks to two golden painted metal arms.
The patina of time has given splendid variations in tone to the gold color, lighter in the relief parts and darker until it reaches the branze color in the grooves.
These sconces are the perfect lights in Hollywood Regency style interiors
These sconces are in good vintage condition.
They show minimal signs of use and aging.
