About the Item

These gilt bronze (ormolu) wall sconces are magnificent pieces, each holding fifteen lights. The sconces will look beautiful either mounted onto the wall in a line, or paired and placed either side of a large mirror or doorway. The lights feature shaped backplates which are ornately decorated. They are topped by stylized acanthus leaves and they terminate in classical masks with foliate flourishes. Each backplate supports fifteen leafy, scrolled arms. These are topped by wide, beaded drip-pans and decorative cup-shaped capitals which are fitted with white candle tubes.
