About the Item
This wall light was designed and manufactured in France in the 1950s. It has a minimalist, modernist design, typical of mid-century French lighting styles.
The light features an adjustable dark ivory / cream colored lamp shade with wrinkle lacquer finish. It is mounted on a sleek, vertical black lacquered brass rod, with a brass accent extending from the top. The rod connects to a rounded wall mount on one side.
This piece is highly characteristic of the functional yet elegant design ethos of French mid-century modernism, with its clean lines and simple geometry.
The light requires one E14 bulb. It has been rewired. All lighting is converted for US usage.
Diameter of lamp shade is 8.3" (21cm). Diameter of wall mounting is 3.6" (9cm).
