French Art Deco Gothic Wall Sconce, 1940s, Attributed to Gilbert Poillerat — Wrought Iron with Brown and Gold Patina. Elegant French Art Deco Gothic-style wall sconce, 1940s, attributed to Gilbert Poillerat, one of France’s most renowned metal artists of the 20th century. A superb wrought iron fixture with a rich brown and golden patina, the gold highlights intentionally emphasized to enhance its sculptural depth and decorative impact. The piece features a red leather socket-holder and comes with its red fabric shade, which can easily be replaced to suit your interior décor. Height without shade: 12.6 in (32 cm) Overall height: 16.9 in (43 cm) Condition: Very good vintage condition; minor traces of age consistent with use (see photos).
