About the Item

Wall lamp pair in Brass and opaline glass , model S-1986, designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson in the 1960s for his company Hans-Agne Jakobsson AB in Markaryd. Good condition Price for the pair Crafted from brass, it features a cone-shaped glass shade held in place by a perforated shade holder. The lamp is fitted with a standard E14 lamp holder and a new textile wire. Swedish industrial designer Hans-Agne Jakobsson, born on the island of Gotland in 1919, began his career as a carpenter's apprentice in his teenage years. Following his pursuit of architecture studies, he joined General Motors as a designer. In 1951, he established Hans-Agne Jakobsson AB in the quaint community of Markaryd.
