A stunning and elegant large modernist candelabra brass wall light/sconce from the 1960s, the Sonata V-169/5 model, designed and crafted by Hans-Agne Jakobsson AB in Markaryd, Sweden. This exquisite piece features a circular base with five gracefully curved arms, each supporting a mouth-blown cylindrical clear glass shade. The lamp is labeled on the inside and remains in very condition, with a subtle and charming patina on the brass, adding to its character. Hans-Agne Jakobsson
Hans-Agne Jakobsson was a Swedish interior and furniture designer, who ran his own company from 1951. Jakobsson was especially famous for his lighting designs, which often had a softly glowing light and organic shape. His designs were inspired by great, modern Scandinavian designers such as the Finnish icon Alvar Aalto and Danish lighting master Poul Henningsen.
