About the Item
Stunning pair of shiny shell shaped aluminum futuristic Space Age wall sconces by French designer Henri Mathieu in the early 1970s. Brushed softly bent silver colored aluminum lamels compose this set of sculptural space age lights. Mounted on metal plate and twirling around a center stem. Wired so the user has the choice of plug-in or hardwired. Each with two fittings for E14 bulbs. The sconces create a soft ambient light through the strips, and are in great vintage condition.
