About the Item

Vintage early 20th century cast metal factory glove mold adapted to be a wall mounted lamp with a lightbulb socket in palm of open hand. The metal is a graphite color and appears to be made of cast aluminum or another alloy. Presently fitted with a E22 European bayonet socket but we are happy to change to a US socket. Presently corded but can be made to be hard wired. The flanged end is 4-1/2 inches wide by 1-1/2 inches high. We can supply a backplate if you need to cover a particular size electrical junction box. Shown with a brass plated candelabra shade over the lightbulb. You are welcome to have this shade or tell us what you might like as we have many options available. Consider whether you prefer a shade that clips onto the lightbulb or has an uno ring frame and we can install a socket with a threaded ring.
