About the Item

A stunning and extremely unique pair of Italian Mid 18th century monumental giltwood and gilt metal candelabras, from Tuscany. Each large scale candelabra is raised on a patinated plinth decorated with opulent and finely carved giltwood scrolled foliate, acanthus leaves ad centered by rosettes. Leading up on each side is a horn shaped design with a shelf top on which rests an urn supporting a five arm candelabra. Scrolled pierced giltwood designs decorate the central element, with impressive gilt metal spray foliate at each side, and a pair of arms in the middle. Above is a large urn topped by a five arm candelabra. All original gilt and gilt metal bobeches. Silhouette is 6 feet tall.
