About the Item

Vintage sculptural Venetian organic wall light with hanging crystal leaves. The central cone shape core in high-quality Venetian Murano glass in a very chic golden amber color worked with the Pulegoso technique: lots of irregular air bubbles, the effect is obtained by injecting into the molten glass a component that reacts and in doing so releases gas bubbles, (the inventor of this sophisticated technique, in the late 1920s, is Napoleone Martinuzzi, the art director at Venini Co). The central body is finished with a twisted finial embellished with pure 24kt gold and is decorated with 3 individually handcrafted hanging leaves in clear Murano glass with extraordinary texture and the contrasting reflective crystal brings this sconce alive. Fitted with 2 candelabra sockets.
