About the Item

A very rare Italian pair of lights by Martinelli Luce, 1963, characterized by an essential Art Design and inventiveness, two prominent elements of Martinelli Luce philosophy. These highly decorative yet very functional lights (that can be used on the wall or flush mounted) are inspired by nature and geometry, Elio Martinelli's axioms, with seven frosted glass shades in two tones, the shapes cleverly interlocking together at different heights to form a white and orange flower, mounted on circular aluminum bases and cylindrical supports. An Art Piece of Italian Design.

Contemporary Italian Design pair of organic light fixtures with the versatility to be used either as sconces hung vertically or horizontally or as flush mount ceiling lights. They consist of two Murano glass half moon curved elements, in a sophisticated light terracotta / brown gray smoked tint, separated by a receded brass mount, part of the handmade supporting brass structure. The glass is elegantly and elaborately decorated with a textured pattern in the manner of Gio Ponti. This technique, allowing shadows to show through the decor, confers a unique glowing effect and enhances the texture.
