About the Item
A single modernist art glass sconce,"Dot" Design by Fulvio Bianconi for Venini.
The sconce consists of a single 5/8" thick curved front panel of straw-colored glass, featuring a red and pale orange overlapping dot design.
Fire-polished inside and outside, the glass is set against a fixed mounting panel of brushed nickel, which holds two candelabra sockets. The back lit effect of the lamps set behind the curved panel creates an atmospheric cast of light through the rich hand made glass. Murano, Italy 1950s.
