Model 875 telescoping wall lamp designed by H.Th.J.A. Busquet for Dutch manufacturer Hala in the 1950s represents the functional approach to task lighting that characterized postwar European design. The extending arm mechanism allows for directional adjustment while the conical aluminum shade with vertical ribbing provides focused illumination. Busquet worked extensively with Hala during the 1950s, developing lighting solutions that balanced industrial manufacturing methods with residential applications.
