About the Item
This mid-century industrial parabolic grey lamp by Benjamin was originally salvaged from an electrical substation in the North West of England, where it once provided focused illumination across a factory floor. Dating to the mid-20th century, the fixture embodies the purposeful engineering and restrained industrial design of the period.
The grey enamelled steel shade displays an authentic, time-worn patina consistent with age and original use, with subtle surface variations that give each example its own character. The parabolic form is designed to direct light efficiently, making it both functional and visually striking.
Now suspended from a newly fabricated, fixed powder-coated steel rod, the lamp can be customised for wall or ceiling mounting depending on the intended installation. Its directional light output makes it particularly well suited to work benches, kitchen worktops, and the illumination of architectural or artistic features.
The fixture has been professionally re-wired using new CE-certified electrical components, with UL-listed components supplied for orders to the United States. A mounting kit is included and can be adapted to suit specific requirements.
