About the Item
This piece, produced by Lustres Pelotas, is an authentic mid-century object. With its rounded forms and futuristic design, it evokes sophistication through its golden finish and elegant light diffusion.
Founded in 1924 by Wilhelm Peters, Lustres Pelotas quickly became one of the pioneers in the production of contemporary lighting fixtures in Brazil. While its early models were inspired by traditional German chandeliers, the brand rose to prominence in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s by embracing mid-century modern aesthetics.
Incorporating curved forms, modern materials, and a futuristic sense of ergonomics. Associated with the Peterco Group, one of the major names in the Brazilian lighting industry, the company expanded to more than 13 stores across the country’s main capitals during the 1960s.
