Stunning French Riviera style wall lamp fully made in curved rattan, hand-woven wicker and cane with a parchment shade. This charming sconce was made in France during the 1960s and is attributed to Louis Sognot.
This unique organic sconce has a round shade in curved rattan enriched by a fantastic hand-woven wicker work, the lamp has an internal shade in parchment-paper that makes it incredibly charming when lit.
The shade is connected to a curved rattan arm by a small chain made in rattan.
This wall lamp is a great example of Mid-Century French organic design, where the different materials are perfectly blended together.
A stunning wall lamp, perfect for a midcentury outdoor project, its fantastic French Riviera flair will complete a porch or a garden.

Louis Sognot was a French designer best known for his elegant furniture made from a combination of rattan and wood. Sognot was influenced by Art Deco and Cubist aesthetics, giving his work a unique stylistic touch while still being usable. Born on May 25, 1892 in Paris, France, Sognot studied at École Bernard-Pablissy before working as a designer at the Au Printemps department store in Paris in 1919. The designer became a founding member of the Union des Artistes Decoroteurs. He died in 1970 in Paris, France.
