About the Item
This two armed brass wall light from Hugo Gorge, is an excellent example of Austrian modernism
from the 1930's. Flowing forms that have been pressure cast and finished to a high level of
craftsmanship, are hallmarks in the design practice from Hugo Gorge. Completed with an intentional
two tone patina these flowing forms make an excellent contrast to the lampshades.
Over the years the lamp has acquired a patina that adds depth to the various forms.
The original lamp shades have been recovered in silk.
