About the Item

An enchanting pair of wall sconces attributed to Ercole Barovier for Barovier Toso, dating to the 1940s — masterfully crafted in hand-blown Murano glass with bellflower-shaped diffusers. The clear, scalloped glass shades — delicate yet architectural — rest on stepped brass brackets with a distinctive Art Déco design, typical of Barovier’s refined aesthetic during the period. The brass shows a deep, rich patina developed over time, enhancing the sculptural geometry of the arms. Each sconce emanates a soft, radiant glow that seems to float against the wall, casting an atmosphere of quiet opulence and timeless elegance. The original Murano glass is in good vintage condition, with no cracks and only minor, age-appropriate signs of wear. The pieces have been recently rewired for European use and are also fully functional in the US.
