About the Item
A soulful piece of Finnish folk art from 1997 by Eino Kypärä, crafted with a deep respect for nature and material. The wall lamp combines oak and birch with a hand-carved bear figure in stained birch sitting on the branch, giving the impression that it lives there.
The natural surfaces are left raw and expressive, full of texture, knots and grain that tell their own story. The soft light brings warmth to the wood and life to the carving, making this both a lamp and a piece of sculptural art. Signed to the back with the artist's name and dated 1997. Very good condition with light wear consistent with age and material.
