About the Item

Pair of 1950s Giuseppe Ostuni Perforated red wall lamps for O-Luce. An extremely rare matched pair executed in brass and perforated red painted metal by one of the most refined Italian designers of the midcentury. A highly adjustable wall light, the shade rotates freely on a ball joint. O-Luce was one of the most innovative lighting design companies in Italy during the midcentury era. Their exceptionally refined designs have been long sought after by collectors in the know. Price is for the pair. Rewired for US electrical with custom period styled brass back plate added for mounting and hardwiring over a standard American j-box. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing available from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee. Literature in "O-Luce: Apparecchi per L'illminazione" pub. Luminaires-Moderniste, related table (shade) and wall models pp. 55-58.
