About the Item
These stunning pair of wall sconces by the upmarket German light manufacturer Kaiser Leuchten are a perfect example of 1970s design. The lights feature a thick, rectangular textured "iced-frosted glass" shade that creates a beautiful dappled light effect. The unique glass shade is held onto a white metal frame by two chrome round-headed screws at the top and bottom.
Each wall light requires two E14 screw-in lightbulbs, positioned at either end of the lamp, facing inwards, to ensure an even distribution of light. The lights are fitted with an on/off switch on the base, allowing for convenient control directly at the wall as well as from a light switch as you enter the room.
The sconces have been rewired and are in full working order and very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks One light is slightly more frosted than the other, though this is barely noticeable.
These vintage wall lights would be a perfect addition to a bedroom or bathroom, perhaps placed on either side of a vanity mirror, adding a touch of mid-century elegance and a wonderful ambient glow to the space.
