About the Item

Make an elegant statement in your home with this pair of antique giltwood wall lights. Crafted in France circa 1850, and oval in shape, each large sconce features hand carved acanthus leaf decor throughout; the fixture is dressed with a single central arm decorated with leaves and dressed with ornate metal bobeche over a decorative candle sleeve cover. Both fixtures have new wiring for US standard. The Baroque style light fixtures are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn the original rubbed patinated gold leaf finish. Versatile, these whimsical sconces could be placed on either side of a mirror in a powder room, in an entry, or in a dining room. Measures: 16" W x 23" H.
