About the Item

Pair of bronze 3-light mirror sconces in Louis XIV style, decorated with the coat of arms of a noble family. The pediment is surmounted by a coat of arms with the motto "Malo Mori Quam Feodari" (Rather die than fail), the sides are decorated with weapons / trophies. At the bottom a satyr's head holds 3 arms of light (candle). At the back, mention about maker "JB Paquet monteur en bronze 29 avril 1873" Wear to the patina, the bobeches have been pierced for electricity Period 19th century Height 65cm 39 x 24cm
