About the Item

A pair of French plaster sconces, dating to the 1940s. Fluted like an unfurling fan, each shade rises in graceful proportion, tapering into a faceted finial base. At 14" tall, the scale is refined yet architectural—casting a soft, ambient glow from within.  The hand-finished surface reveals subtle brushwork and timeworn edges, lending warmth and texture to the sculptural form. Elegant as a pair in a hallway, bedroom, or framing an entry. Condition: Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear throughout. Light chips and losses along the edges and base, consistent with the softness of plaster and the age of the piece. These sconces have been professionally rewired by our team of restorationists with new sockets. Accepts one E26 base light bulb. Additional Dimensions: Backplate: 12"W x 8"H
