About the Item
A pair of double light gilt bronze sconces. The castings are of the highest quality, being perfectly chased to the point where, the closer one looks, the more fine detail is revealed. The urn-finials on the backplates are mounted with bellflower swags. The fluted arms issue from scrolling leafy ferrules to support foliate waxpans and fluted, beaded-edged candle cups. Signed by the maker E. F. Caldwell Co.
