About the Item

A striking and most decorative pair of Italian early 19th century Iron and Gilt sconces. Each wonderfully scrolled sconce showcases Gilt accented acanthus leaves at the base and leading up the cornucopia shaped body. Elegant mottled bands are spread throughout the body and follow the scrolled back support up to the foliate spray candle cup accented with Gilt foliate movements. The scrolled Iron back support reverses direction and showcases large scrolled designs decorated with additional Gilt leaves and finished by a top scroll. *Shades shown for display purposes, sold separately.
