This elegant and sophisticated pair of vintage Italian wall sconces is crafted from polished and nickel-plated metal. Each sconce features a sturdy metal frame with two shaped brackets at its ends, supporting seven crystal panels connected by slender, curved tubes.
The two brackets are connected by a central plate that houses a single socket. Electrical wires pass through this backplate, providing both power and secure wall mounting. The nine finely crafted crystal panels alternate in color: light and dark gray. They all extend outward in the shape of petals, reminiscent of the delicate form of a flower. The light disperses beautifully through the panels, creating a captivating interplay of reflections and illumination. Produced between 1970 and 1973 by Veca. These lamps may have been created in collaboration with Fontana Arte. Veca was a renowned Italian company specializing in glass and metal bathroom fixtures, particularly active during the modern design movement of the 20th century. Although detailed historical records regarding Veca are few, the company was distinguished by the quality and elegance of its products, often characterized by colored glass and chrome-plated metal accents.
