Pair of Italian Murano Glass Wall Sconces, 1970s, in the Style of Poliarte, Venini or Mazzega
A striking pair of vintage Murano wall sconces from Italy, dating to the 1970s. Each sconce features a sculptural glass shade with a rare craquelure and bubble-like texture, giving the surface a soft organic appearance. When illuminated, the glass produces a warm, glowing effect with beautiful light refractions.
The design is reminiscent of the work of Poliarte, Venini, and Mazzega, who were known for their experimental glass techniques and bold sculptural lighting during this period. The glass shades are mounted on rectangular chrome backplates, creating a refined contrast between shimmering glass and polished metal.
