About the Item
1930's Sweden. Both stamped “Sig P” by artist.
Sigurd Persson, 1914-2003, was a prolific Swedish blacksmith and sculptor. Persson designed objects in silver, stainless steel, cast iron, enamel, and glass. The works often draw inspiration from nature with stylized organic traits. His work is represented in several museums worldwide, including the National Museum and the Nordic Museum in Stockholm, the Victoria
Albert Museum in London, the Musée des Arts Décoratife in Paris and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
